Ann Munro’s rink of Forres ladies comfortably defeated Sandra McIver’s Moray Firth Ladies to set up an all East Province Ladies K.O final against Louise Marshall . Scores of 1,2 and 3 in the mid ends made it a cake walk for the Forres girls.
In Division 1, Kenny Oswald came from 6-3 behind to pick up 5 in the final 2 ends to out count Andy Cameron.
In Division 4, the Moray juniors showdown was just shaded by James Carter with a tight 5-4 win over Molly Keen . Molly ,however, was a comprehensive winner over Jim Farquhar with a 5 and a 4 ended in a 15-2 win, keeping Molly in strong contention for league honours.
In the other division 4 game Alastair Maltman’s bankers were big winners against the luckless Colin Gauld,while, in Division 5 ,Sandra McIver knew she was in a contest with Finlay Sutherland’s Juniors before running out 6-3 victors and Helen Downey’s Elgin rink edged out Nicole Watt’s junior team 8-5.
