Rotary Community Award for Curling Development Group
On 1st April, President Lawrence presented a certificate on behalf of Elgin Rotary Club to Bill Duncan, chair of the Moray Province Curling Development Group in recognition of their work in promoting and developing curling in Moray. The group was started in 2007 by Bill Nicol helped by Alan Campbell & offers introductory sessions to primary schools, a junior club and adult taster & coaching sessions for individuals and groups.
Juniors compete in Province, Super leagues and national competitions with Amy McDonald being runner up in the Scottish Junior Championship
