The Nairn Curling Club rink skipped by Ali Asher retained their Area 10 [North of Scotland] title at Inverness Ice Centre last Saturday. This was their 3rd title in a row and 5th since 2004.

The Nairn rink with Robbie Cope at lead, Jim Clark playing 2nd and 3rd Colin MacGregor beat Alan Maclennan’s Sutherland champions 7-2 in their first game.

They then came from 2-5 behind to beat Gordon Kennedy of Ballindalloch 8-5.

Their final round-robin game was a close last-stone encounter against Grampian champions Grantown, which Nairn won 6-4. Muir of Ord won the
Division 2 title.

The Area 10 Championships are contested by the winners of the Ross-shire, Sutherland, Inverness, Moray & Grampian
Provinces.
