In the semi final of the open knockout,Ryan Mackenzie shut out Kenny Oswald in what turned out to be a totally one sided game.
Kenny threw in the towel after 5 ends with Ryan 7-0 ahead.
Mackenzie now awaits a final showdown with either Andy Cameron or Ally Fraser.
In the league,Kenny Oswald’s fortunes were restored with a comprehensive 10-3 win over Neil Durno,while Ryan Mackenzie’s Ballindalloch had a tight 5-5 peel with the Buckie rink skipped by Steve Rankin. Another close match saw Andy Cameron just edge Dave Macpherson.
In Division 2 Eddie Milne was a comfortable winner against Ron Christie and in identical 8-6 scores, Donald Ross and Abby Duncan edged out Gavin Nicol and Bill Jaffrey respectively.
In Division 3 Howard Anstruther maintained his 100% record against clubmate Mike Macdonald,virtually guaranteeing promotion back to division 2, while the Elgin rinks of Alastair Grant and Bob Stewart had regulation wins over the Juniors of Ross Mculloch and Forres’s Charlie Watt junior respectively.
Finally,in Division 4 ,a strong count in ends 4,5 and 6 gave Molly Keen a good win over the luckless Colin Gauld.
