About Points

The points Competition is traditionally held at the end of the season and involves individual curlers from all clubs within the Province. Each club can enter two players, normally the clubs own points competition winners and runner up, if not then two nominated players. Scottish Curling rules apply subject to local variations available with the draw. The object is for each curler to play set exercises on their own (i.e. no one in the head and no brushers) accumulating points for each successful exercise, with the number of points being determined by the time available.

History

Donated by Heather Little when she was a member of Elgin Curling Club. Previously Heather had been a founder member of Inverness Teachers Curling Club when curling started in Inverness in 1968.
After living in South Wales for several years where there is no curling, Heather has returned to live in Nairn (now Heather Billet) and to the ice!
