2012 Scottish Curling Awards – Make your vote count!
Campbell Ross a Forres curler and Technical Coach with the Moray Province Curling Development Group, very well known to all Moray Province curlers and surrounding Provinces has been nominated for the “Grassroots Coach of the year award” in the Royal Club 2012 Scottish Curling Awards.
Campbell is a dedicated, enthusiastic, successful and very popular Technical coach much appreciated by Moray Junior Curling Club and beyond. He works tirelessly, twice a week, with up to 50 youngsters introducing them to curling, developing their skills, and helping to ensure they enjoy the sport.
In addition he mentors and supports four juniors accepted onto the Royal Club talent programme for the first time this season, travelling with them to all their games and providing further on and off ice training, guidance and tactical advice.
He also gives up his time to watch many of his young charges play in province league games, bonspiels and “friendlies” in order to give them further encouragement, support and pointers for their future games and continued development.
Campbell is the epitome of the Grassroots Coach of the Year and it is an accolade he could not deserve more.
BUT he is up against other coaches from other Areas probable with enhanced curler numbers and will therefore need votes from each and every one of us to win what he deserves.
